Boarding
Acorn Hill Farm
Several Boarders experience a beach adventure together.
Acorn Hill Farm's facility includes a 14 stall barn attached to an
indoor arena,  a separate six stall barn, several turnout sheds, a
large outdoor sand ring, and access to miles of trails.
Some grass turnout is available to outdoor boarders;
stalled horses are turned out in large sand paddocks.
We welcome horses of all breeds and riders of all disciplines!

I have boarded with Jen Grady at Acorn Hill Farm off and on for over 15 years. I
first met Jen because I needed help with my 6 year old Morgan mare, Cree, who
was “misbehaving” on the trail.  At the end of two months of training, I was a
more confident rider and Cree behaved much better on the trail.  I brought Cree
to Jen’s for two months and stayed for several years.

Recently, I retired Cree and bought Presley, a 9 year old Morgan mare who had
spent most of her time hanging out in the pasture.   I brought Presley to Jen for
two months of basic training.

I have chosen Acorn Hill Farm because Jen:
(1) uses natural horsemanship principles, not fear or force, as her training
philosophy;
(2)is extremely knowledgeable about horse health and care; (3) is a good riding
instructor in several disciples,  always patient and respectful of a rider’s
abilities;  and (4) has a great deal of experience in the show ring and is well
informed about show rules so she can help prepare riders who want to show.

In addition, I enjoy the relaxed barn atmosphere, the use of the  indoor arena,
and the extensive trail system.
